This beautiful low mile Radar Blue Corvette was specially built by Chevrolet and commissioned to be used as an official pace car and received a 'Festival Car' designation.
These Corvettes were built at the Bowling Green, KY Corvette assembly plant and delivered to Indianapolis Motor Speedway to be used at the 82nd running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 24th 1998. There were 105 'Festival Cars' built in total. These 'Festival' cars were used by track officials and press the week of the race as well as to parade the drivers around the historic track for driver introductions before the race. Eddie Cheever Jr. was the eventual winner that day who was also awarded one of these Festival Cars. The remaining 104 cars were offered for sale during and after the race to...
