1966 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88.

Oldsmobile's '88' is a long-standing tradition with American motorists. The 88 nameplate was used from 1949 until 1999. The 88 was also the division's top selling line from 1950 until 1974. This well-kept example is a turn-key car ready to enjoy. This car showcases over $10,000 spent in a bare metal refinish in its original Laurel Mist color.

The 88 received an extensive styling and design re-engineering in 1965. This coke-bottle shaping and rounded lines would continue to 1970. The 1966 model displays the majority of the '65s features with only slight changes, such as a revised grille and tail section.

This example proudly displays an exceptional finish in the correct Laurel Mist color. The paint and body are in very good to excellent condition throughout, with few minor flaws on closer inspection.

This ride has a lot of good things to it and is packed full of potential. Under the hood is a big block 455 that sounds healthy and feels strong. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission also feels good. The body and paint appear to be in mostly original condition and overall, we would rate this vehicle as a survivor. The owner has had some work done to the engine and has enjoyed the car for 9 years. Oldsmobile in the 1970s was probably in their prime. The part luxury, part sporty GM brand offered an aspirational image for buyers who felt they were working their way towards a Cadillac. The A-Body based Cutlass line in particular was a top seller and received a facelift for '76 including quad rectangular headlights and a waterfall grille. Over 90,000 Brougham models were sold in '76 and this one was born out of the Lansing, Michigan production facility with White exterior paint and a Cordovan Maroon Landau top.
