Ford introduced the Bronco in 1966 to complete with Jeep's CJ and International's Scout. Like its competitors, the Bronco had a small wheelbase at 92 inches. The short stance made the truck maneuverable especially in off-road situations. Simplicity in design led to an affordable yet very capable compact 4x4. This particular example is a Bronco Half Cab which features a small utility bed instead of a set of rear seats. The truck has been frame off restored and nicely customized. The Volkswagen Thing is technically called the Type 181 and it is a two-wheel drive, four-door, convertible, off-road, military type vehicle manufactured by Volkswagen from 1968 to 1983. Originally developed for the West German Army, the Type 181 was also sold to the public, as the Kurierwagen in West Germany, the Trekker, which was right hand drive in the United Kingdom, the Thing in the United States (1973-'74), the Safari in Mexico and South America, and Pescaccia in Italy. Restored in a magnificent two tone blue this Thing for sale really draws the crowd.
