For a summary on this car just know this is a real GT Fastback that was built to LOOK like an original, but was tastefully upgraded in nearly every mechanical way imaginable. Ford built over 600,000 Mustangs in 1966, and only 7,889 were fastbacks with luxury interior. The engine is out of a 88 Mustang GT and has a 281 HR Magnum Comp Cam underneath, with ProComp aluminum heads on top. The engine is dialed in and has one hell of a bass line. For highway driving the transmission was swapped to a Borg Warner 5 speed that truly completes the vehicle. The 9 inch rear end houses 3. 50 posi-traction gears making the ratios on this beast begin to touch perfection. Pertronix supplied the electronic ignition for easy and reliable starting.
