Part of the reason is the new; bed and running boards, all glass, weather striping, all trim, bumpers, and with the red background - she warrants attention. She is powered by a 302-cu. in. V-8 mated to a rebuilt C4 automatic transmission, and 8' rear-end. Take a peek under the hood - and it's the same as the outside - detailed - bed area w/ the stained wood- show quality! The engine has an Edelbrock aluminum intake and carb, w/ chrome air cleaner, and a set of Ford Racing valve covers. The interior has been painted the same as the exterior, with a set of Grey high-back buckets, after-market console, cloth headliner, and Lokar floor shifter, making this one detailed interior! This truck likely stands as one of the best examples of a 65 Ford Truck. The restoration was frame off and done to an incredibly high level of detail. The truck was originally an Oklahoma vehicle and served for 20 years before spending 20 years in a barn. The current owner took 4 years going over every nut and bolt. During that time, he either refreshed the original pieces or replaced them with new. The 352 FE block is original to the truck and this is the first year it was offered. The engine has been rebuilt and now has a 390 cubic inch displacement with a mild Edelbrock cam. Electronic ignitions makes for easy starting. The transmission and rear end are not original because the original equipment was geared for farm use and not practical for todays roads.
