This particular wagon for sale was purchased as an all original 265 CID V8 automatic car, then it was transformed into the show proven show winning beast you see above. By the mid 50's Chevy was doing remarkably well considering it had not even been a decade since the end of WWII. As Chevy unveiled their remodeled Bel Air, they also announced their newest member of the family, the Nomad Wagon. The Nomad was Chevy's Station wagon model on and off from 1955 to 1972 but the most memorable ones are these 55 to 57 models dubbed the tri-fives. Their styling has withstood the test of time and these rolling legends are highly sought after today. Here we have a '57 model and a Restomod! The black Dupont paint looks really sharp! Aiding the comfortable ride starts with a Flaming River front suspension that includes power rack and pinion steering with tubular upper and lower control arms. Further refinement includes an overdrive automatic transmission, A/C by Vintage Heat and Air, power front disc brakes and a set of new gauges by Classic Instruments providing a clear view of the engine's vitals. The rest of the interior is finished with GM bucket seats that have been recovered and also feature new foam.
