Gateway Classic Cars showroom is proud to present this very sharp silver over gray 1966 Chevrolet II 100 restomod. In 1966, the Chevy II received a major facelift, with significant changes made to the car's design. The '66-'67 Nova Hardtop Coupes are arguably some of the cleanest-looking 1960s-era cars out there, with their combination of "straights and curves" in the body design, and nearly everyone who sees one on the road gives the thumbs up to their occupants. In addition to the physical changes, the 1966 Nova also could be had with a 350HP 327 CID V8, marking the beginning of the Nova as an affordable muscle car. This Chevy II started life as a six-cylinder car; but as most restored Novas get treated, this one received a laundry list of upgrade goodies, as well as a serious power upgrade. This car is powered by a potent GM Performance Parts 385 Fast Burn V8 engine (385 HP/385 Lb/Ft TQ), which is backed by a slick-shifting Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, and 3:07:1 gears in its Posi-equipped 10-bolt rear end. Chromed ram's head exhaust manifolds connect to a menacing-sounding dual exhaust system. The engine bay, which is nicely detailed, has been cleaned up of superfluous stuff and finished nicely in matte black, which helps the chromed bits (including the tubular upper control arms) stand out nicely. The lower front control arms are also tubular, and adjustable coilovers provide good dampening for a smooth ride; plus, the rear has adjustable air shocks (not bagged - traditional air shocks). Outside, the silver metallic-over-gray metallic paint scheme has a classic look, and the polished Billet Specialties aluminum wheels add a nice touch of sparkle. They are wrapped with P225/45ZR17 performance radials up front, and P245/40ZR18's out back. Four-wheel power disc brakes (with adjustable proportioning valve) provide potent stopping power, and the subframe connectors reduce body twist. Inside, you'll find a nicely updated dash with AutoMeter Carbon Fiber gauges, custom center console, billet aluminum steering wheel with tilt column, and Eclipse AM/FM/CD head unit. The carpet is in great shape, as is its two-tone synthetic leather seating surfaces and the headliner. The weather stripping and window felts all look as new as the interior, so its next owner won't have to worry about driving this car in any weather. Additional features and options on this neat little Nova include Air Conditioning (cold), Aluminum Wheels, AM/FM/CD Radio, Radial Tires, PosiTraction, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Tilt Steering Wheel.
