Through its long run the LTD was sold in many variations including a two-door, four-door, convertible and a Country Squire wagon. This second generation was produced from 1969-1978. The new model was given a major redesign making the car even larger than its predecessor. By 1974, five- mile front and rear bumpers and tougher seat belt regulations were introduced to comply with Federal safety regulations.
