The second-generation Viper debuted in 1996 with significant revisions to the suspension, engine and creature comforts. Vipers - in the spirit of the original Shelby Cobra - were known for being 'knuckle whitening' rides with dodgy handling and over whelming acceleration. The second-gen Vipers managed to increase the acceleration abilities while refining and enhancing the handling and stopping abilities. Now, a Viper was an exhilarating driver's car versus the previous car's reputation as a barely manageable beast. This 97 Viper only has 22k plus miles on the odometer and presents as a well maintained adult owned car. The red paint looks great, and the black interior is rip and tear free. The car rides on the much-improved GTS style, 5-spokes wheels and the car looks showroom new. The only function that has succumbed to time is the AC - which blows cool instead of ice cold.
