Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is excited to present this Sable Brown 1973 Jaguar XKE 2+2. This consignor stated this One Owner numbers matching work of art shows very well! He also states the V-12 engine, rated at 300-hp, was a complete $50K rebuild, back to factory specs, excluding a mild cam, headers, and removal of emissions equipment. The drivetrain rebuild has very little miles on it. This One Owner was purchased back in 1973 and the owner is ready to part with it after all these years. These classics have been considered a touring masterpiece of timeless design, by many car enthusiasts. Designed by Malcom Sayer, the Jaguar XKE went through many technical changes over the years but never lost it's original design appeal. Three different series models were produced during the XKE run. The series 3 was only available as a coupe 2+2 and convertible “roadster" models. From 1971-1975 7,200 2+2's were produced. The XKE can be distinguished as the car that sparred industry changes in both state- of- the art technology and safety improvements. With such advancements as rack and pinion steering and independent front and rear coil spring suspension. Such early technology that we take for granted in today's automotive world. Jaguar was one of the first manufactures to build a car that was not only fast but could handle curves and corners with ease. This Jaguar 2+2 comes with the desirable 5.3-liter V-12 engine mated to an automatic transmission. This fine example is also a factory working a/c car, and should make her that much more desirable! The car just shows so well - between the beautiful sable paint, the contrast of the tan interior, and those real spoke wheels - quad exhaust tips - just sets this baby off! Take a peek inside, and see what quality looks like! The leather seats are original, as is nearly all of the car, and looks very well - that's how well cared for - she shows! To top off this masterpiece are many convenience features including power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning in working order, telescopic wheel, am/fm stereo, spare tire, seat belts, wire wheels, radial tires. Don't sleep on this one if you've been dreaming of one of these Jags!!. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
