The XJ series was the very last car that Sir William Lyons designed, paving the way for its success being one of Jaguar's more popular lines during its 5 generations. With the XJ debuting for the first time in 1968, Sir William Lyons had a vision in mind when designing the XJ. He wanted a Luxurious car 4 door sedan that handles and drives just like a sports car would.
