The E-Type was introduced by Jaguar Cars Ltd. in 1961 and was immediately noticed for its sexy lines and good looks. Enzo Ferrari stated upon its release that it was “The most beautiful car ever madeâ€. Hearing that compliment is great but hearing it from Enzo Ferrari is pretty special. The classic good looks and styling has remained timeless and in March of 2008 was ranked #1 of the 100 most beautiful cars of all time. This particular example looks stunning with its Signal Red paint over Biscuit leather interior. The series 2 E-Type was manufactured from 1968 – 1971 and are known for being the best and most reliable drivers of the X-Type line. Thanks to the addition of twin cooling fans and larger front mouth the series 2 Jaguars ran cooler. The 246 horsepower 4.2 Liter XK6 engine features a dual overhead cam and twin Zenith-Stromberg Carburetors mated to a 4-speed full synchromesh gearbox and durable Salisbury hypoid rear end that featured a Powr-Lok limited-slip differential. This car will give you the feeling you are headed out to shop at Carnaby Street or dine on Fish and Chips. Additional parts included with the sale are the original radio, chrome bumper bar and additional floor mats.
