The new British Grand Tourer was introduced as the replacement for the iconic E-Type. During an astonishing build run of 21 years, 115,413 units were produced by the Conventry manufacturer at their Browns Lane factory. The final, more aerodynamic version of the XJS was introduced in 1991. With a more efficient engine and subtle design changes, this version was available until production ceased in 1996. This desirable Celebration Convertible model was produced in 1996 and presents well in Topaz Metallic with Oatmeal leather interior. In addition to the already high standard level of equipment enjoyed by the XJS, this last low-mileage model benefits from piped seats embossed with the iconic leaping cat logo, a wood/ leather steering wheel and wooden shift knob. Also included is the tonneau cover with its original bag for storage. The car has covered a very careful 36,865 miles and is in terrific mechanical and cosmetic condition. All mechanical functions operate as they should and drives as you would expect from a Jaguar Grand Tourer. The roof is in great condition and operates smoothly. A full mechanical service was recently performed.
