1966 Mustangs debuted with some moderate trim changes from the year before, including a new grille, side ornamentation, wheel covers and gas cap. This one is all about the 'GO' - it is powered by a Johnson Racing-built 347 CID stroker V8 with all of the goodies: its oversized aluminum radiator helps keep the powerplant cool, protecting its all-forged internals. It is built to run on premium unleaded, even though it has dome-top pistons. It has TrickFlow heads, MSD Ignition, a 750 cfm Holley carb, 7qt oil pan with high-volume oil pump, a built C6 3-speed automatic transmission controlled by a Hurst shifter, and a 9' rear with 3. 73:1 gearset. It also has a 5-lug front disc brake conversion, subframe connectors, and traction bars out back, to help this Pony slow and go. Warren Paint in Ft. Worth did the custom gleaming black paint job, complete with hand airbrushed flaming skulls motif.
