1973 Chevrolet Corvette
View Description
The '73 is the last of the chrome bumper Corvettes and the chrome bumper is only on the rear. New bumper laws mandated that impact resistant bumpers be used from here on out. Manufacturers did their best to design good looking front ends, but it would never be the same. Corvette managed it very well and kept one chrome bumper on the rear to retain to that great and recognizable Corvette look. The Corvette was still charging forward with big power from their 454. Making 275 horsepower and 390 lbs/ft of torque. That's plenty to have a lot of fun with and get into trouble if you're not too careful.
This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette painted in Ontario Orange with Saddle interior, is powered by that great 454 Big Block. Yes, the Rat motor continues to live on. Backing up this well known 454 is a TH-400 automatic transmission. The Turbo 400 was also well known for being GM's stout automatic transmission. This great powertrain complimented with an independent rear suspension makes for a great combination. You wouldn't have much trouble taking any car from 1973 at a stop light and continuing through curvy roads. Luxury is there...
