The arrival of the 1970 Corvette happened somewhat later than was typical in the automotive manufacturing industry, due in part to the incredible sales backlog that had occurred during the 1969 model year and also due in part to the UAW (United Workers) strike, which delayed the new Corvette from reaching showrooms until February.

If you like to throw yourself back in the seat and leave strange black marks on the road surface, this car is for you! In 1967 Chevrolet made a major overhaul to the Corvette brand when they unveiled the all new C3 Corvette for the 1968 model year. The Mako Shark II design for the car was conceived by Larry Shinoda. The C3 Corvette was produced all the way until 1982. For those 14 years Chevrolet would make many changes, many of which were suggestions from their customer base. Here we have a 1973 model. As you walk around the car you'll notice the red paint is in good order. The black vinyl and cloth interior looks great and really complements the car. Hard to beat red and black! Of course, you can't miss the side exhaust! Really completes the stance of this Vette. Under the hood is where the magic happens. It was only a matter of time before you started seeing the C3 falling under the Restomod category and of the one's we've seen come to the showroom, this one is something special. The 502 cubic inch V8 came as a bit of a surprise to us when we opened the hood and the pleasure of finding out a Muncie 4 speed with Hurst linkage was used to help keep some nostalgia in the build. The interior features new carpet, door panels, A-Pillar and header trim, rear view mirror, sun visors, a restored center console, new dash pads, new temp gauge, rebuilt seats, horn button, courtesy light switches, and t-top liners. The A/C was rebuilt and uses R-134 freon, the power steering was rebuilt, the left headlight hinge and bearings were replaced. A series of mounting hardware was replaced as well to keep everything flush and tight. Custom exhaust was fitted to give this 502 a noticeable sound thanks to 2. 5' piping and Magnaflow mufflers.
