Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to be presenting this Black W/ Gold Badging 1984 Pontiac Trans Am. Starting in 1982, remodeling came about to the Camaro and the Firebird/Trans Am’s that shouted to a more modern look to an already reputable and affordable sports car in the GM lineup. The Trans Am took off after 1982 following the TV show Knight Rider making us all fall in love with the futuristic car persona that was Kitt Karr. One look at the cars boxy yet aerodynamic body lines was a step forward in fueling the popularity of the 3rd generation body style and would help the progression of different sub models populate production. This Trans Am came as a well optioned car being that it had the 5.0-liter high output V8 engine sitting under the hood, which still has the snorkel tube that does tot the hood induction still miraculously intact. Bolted to the small block, there is a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission transferring power to the rear tires while offering good highway manners being that it has electronic overdrive. When you open the door to this beauty, it will be noticed that the interior is in very good condition, the Grey velour seats look great. This car comes loaded with an AC Delco radio deck with a Cassette player, power steering, power brakes, power windows and power door locks. Plus the turbine stock wheels make a great compliment to this future classic. The time is now to make a move on this gorgeous 3rd gen. Don't let it slip through your fingers!
