Ever since Bill Hickman's black '68 Charger chased Steve McQueen's '68 GT Mustang though the streets of San Francisco, the automotive world has never been the same. Eleven minutes of nonstop burnouts, powershifting, and power slides changed the American car culture forever. Ford brought the Bullitt back in 2001, but the car was basically just a respray. In 2008, FoMoCo revisited the idea and this time made the Mustang a bit more correct to what McQueen envisioned originally with his stripped down GT. Only 4,377 '08 Bullitt's were built in the iconic Highland Green color. When the car came out, Motorweek stated, 'This '08 Bullitt combines vintage style and modern performance in a package that's truly worthy of the Bullitt name.
