When released, this car was a shock to established styling rules of the 90s. Jelly beans were out! Retro inspired, regulations be darned, head turning non-aero, hot rod motoring was in! Bob Lutz was head of Chrysler at the time and the Prowler was a shout out to the cool sleek Boyd Coddinton style Hot Rods of the late 80s into the 90s. Open cycle fenders and exposed font wheels bring home the look with the long hood and short deck proportions exaggerating the traditional 32 Ford look.
