Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is a very nice 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. The Plymouth Barracuda is a two-door car that was manufactured by Plymouth from the 1964 1â„2 to 1974 model years. The first-generation Barracuda, a fastback A-body coupe based on the Plymouth Valiant, had distinctive wraparound back glass and was available from 1964 1â„2 to 1966. The second-generation 1967 to 1969 Barracuda, though still Valiant-based, was heavily redesigned. Second-generation A-body cars were available in fastback, notchback, and convertible versions. This second generation 1971 Barracuda is a numbers matching car with the original 383 cubic inch 6.3 liter "B" Block V8 linked to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. Engine and transmission were both rebuilt and sporting just a little over 5,000 miles since the rebuild. The 383 Super Commando engine was upgraded with the intake manifold, camshaft, and cylinder heads from the Road Runner and Super Bee. This 71 Cuda not only has a great engine option but it is also equipped with positive traction rear end with 3.23 gears for driving pleasure. The Barracuda was changed slightly for 1971, with a new grille and taillights, seat, and trim differences. This would be the only year that the Barracuda would have four headlights, and also the only year of the fender "gills" on the 'Cuda model. The most popular items from the remodel on the 71 model Barracuda's was the cheese grader grill and the gills on the fenders. The exterior color is Lime Light Green which is one of the very popular colors from the choice of "high impact" colors available at this time. The Lime Light Green is complimented very nicely by the black interior and black body stripes denoting the 383 engine option. This numbers matching 1971 Cuda is true example of classic Mopar muscle and is ready for a new home and can be yours with one simple phone call or email. Options include: AM radio only, power brakes, power steering, rally wheels wrapped in raised white letter radial tires and number matching.
