For sale in our Tampa Showroom is a show stopping 1966 Ford Mustang. At first glance the car looks stock with the exception of wheels, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Starting with the body - the front bumper has been replaced by a Shelby style air dam, the hood is a fiberglass cowl hood with black hood pins, all trim is done in gloss black, a one off custom grill has been fabricated for the upper and lower grill openings, the drip rails have been smoothed, door handles have been smoothed, door and trunk locks are smoothed, all emblems and badging is smoothed, the exhaust exits the rocker panels which have been beautifully notched, the quarter panel extensions have been smoothed into the new quarter panels, and the rear valance is now one piece with the quarter panels. All of this is coated in a stunning Gunmetal Gray Metallic paint that really gives this muscle Mustang a tough and modern feeling. 17" Shelby Eleanor style aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires finish off the exterior in style and really tuck into the wheel wells perfectly! All of this adds up to one of the slickest custom Mustangs you will find. Inside you are greeted by the original bench seat, which less than three and a half percent of Mustangs received, making this Mustang not only cool, but also rare. This option also gives you an armrest which is nice and comfortable. The seats are wrapped in black vinyl with seat belts front and rear, a 3 spoke chrome steering wheel, MP black face gauges, gloss black doors and dash finish off the interior. A new correct trunk mat finishes off the trunk nicely and stores the custom fit car cover that is included in the sale. This car isn't all looks and no performance either. Under the hood is a 302 from a Fox Body Mustang (meaning it is a roller engine) with an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor with electric choke, full length headers that are wrapped, HEI distributor, Lokar billet throttle cable assembly, billet radiator overflow, electric fan, new brake booster and master cylinder, Ford Racing valve covers, a black oval Mustang air cleaner, and all new Painless Wiring harness from front to rear. This power runs to an AOD automatic transmission with a small stall converter and a B&M shifter. Keeping this car tight and straight is left up to the subframe connectors, Monte Carlo bar, shock tower connectors, and new traction bars (come with the car but need to be installed). An original "C" code car means this car was born with a V8, so it is built to handle the power. This is not a 6 cylinder car with a V8 bolted in. This 66 Mustang for sale won't last long at this price!
