Up for sale in our Tampa Showroom is this astounding example of pure American Muscle, the 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback "K" code. This beautiful car is kept mostly true to its original build fashion, from the beautiful paint job to the interior, you would be hard pressed to find another K code fastback in this condition and at this price! Now to start, this Mustang is an original K code chassis, as verified by the door tag and the fender stamp, but the engine was replaced some time ago for a slightly more desirable Boss 302 engine. These engines were built from the factory to put out an impressive combination of horsepower and torque to begin with, but was built with a mild cam and some dress-up on the exterior to give it just a little more power. To control this Pony, this car was then fitted with a 4-speed toploader manual transmission, giving you a thorough muscle car driving experience in every gear. This car has also been fitted with an aftermarket Air Conditioning system as well to maintain comfort on any type of drive you take her on. The interior of the car is done in the original fashion black vinyl seating, with black carpeting throughout. On top of all the luscious design, is the black dashboard fitted with the rally-pack gauges that were very sought after on A and K code cars of this era. Moving out to the exterior of this car is one of the most beautiful paint jobs available during this generation, named "Ivy Green Metallic", this paint comes as a dark green and filled with the perfect amount of metal flake that gives this car an absolutely astounding shine in the sun. The K code Mustangs were some of the most expensive cars available in 1965, with only 7,273 made in this year, these cars were built mandatory with a 4-speed manual transmission and at the time were capable of going 14 seconds in the 1/4 mile, so driving one of these is pretty much the pinnacle of the Mustang driving experience from the 60's. Options include A/C, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, Rally Wheels and a very well built Boss 302 engine.
