However, the introduction of the "Quad Cam" 4.6l engine in 1996 was a game changer. This high revving revolutionary engine put the automotive world on notice. Ford fanatics would soon discover the capability and durability of the motor replacing the legendary 5.0 of the era was far beyond the advertised 305hp. This white on white stallion with black leather interior is one of only 273 of a total production number of 3088 '97 convertibles made (muscularmustangs.com). This particular Pony is wearing a set of Cobra R wheels but is stock otherwise mechanically. It's a driver quality convertible with a few minor dings and scuffs, but this Cobra still has a lot of life left in it.
