For one year only, Ford Motor Company offered approximately 4,100 limited edition Mustangs known as the California Special to a small number of dealers in the Golden State. The package included special stripping, Thunderbird taillights, rear deck spoiler, side fender scoops, and twist type hood pins. Originally a Highland Green GT/CS, the black knitted seats helped make this California Special one of one per Ford savant and authenticator, Kevin Marti (Report included). With Shelby Mustangs continuing to skyrocket in value, here's an opportunity to own a unique piece of Mustang history at a much more affordable price.
