The C4 Corvette made a big splash in 1986 when the 86 Corvette convertible not only returned to the line-up but was also selected to pace the Indy 500! Rather than producing a set number of pace car replicas, ALL ‘86 Corvette convertibles were designated as a “Pace Car Replica" and came with dealer or customer applied decals for the doors. Many simply passed on the decals.
This 86 Convertible doesn't have the pace car decals applied, but does have C5 Corvette chrome 5 spokes, and a nicely contrasting tan roof over factory copper metallic. The car has a clean car fax showing a history of regular maintenance and no accidents. Additionally, everything works as designed with exception of the AC. The car also has a new radiator, fuel pump, starter, power steering rack, shocks, top, top liner, and oil pan gasket. In short, it's a solid C4 that benefits from a great color combo, and being a reasonably priced example of the return to down motoring for the Corvette!
