We are pleased to show you this third generation (C3) little-red t-top 1980 Chevrolet Corvette that is now for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis. The consignor of this classic is only the second owner and has owned it since 1996. This is a number's matching engine and transmission with 27,227 original miles (no rebuild or odometer flip).

BACKGROUND: In 1953, when GM executives were looking to a name the new Chevrolet sports car, assistant director for the Public Relations department Myron Scott suggested Corvette after the small maneuverable warship â€" and the name was approved. The first model, a convertible, was introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept and was followed ten years later, in the 1963 second generation, in coupe and convertible styles. The third generation Corvette, patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car, was introduced for the 1968 model year and was in production until 1982. (Source: Wikipedia)

One of the things that should really get you interested in this Corvette is the interior condition. The leather is in great condition and does not show excessive wear. The carpeting and the dash look like new and do not show any damage whatsoever. This is one of the best original interiors you'll ever see. In regard to the body condition this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette, it has never been repainted or had body panels replaced, so it looks and shows as you would expect for a very well kept vehicle - it is in good condition, with no noticeable discoloration or damage from prolongated exposure from the sun. Upon inspection, we did not find any corrosive rust anywhere on the vehicle.

As you can see from the video, this 1986 Chevrolet Corvette starts, stops, runs, and accelerates exactly like you would expect it to. This is not a project car. Upon inspection, we found everything working on it, and it is ready to push to the limits and enjoy the first day it ships to your home or when you come to our showroom to pick it up.
