We are happy to offer for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Saint Louis Showroom this 3-Speed Automatic 1980 Chevrolet Corvette. This is a third generation Corvette, patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car, which was introduced for the 1968 model year and was in production until 1982. C3 coupes featured the first use of T-top removable roof panels. 1981 was the final year this vehicle was built in Saint Louis.
The first thing you may think of when you see this classic from Chevrolet is a very unpopular song called 'Little Red Corvette' by a marginally talented musician who sometimes went by the name of 'Prince', but at other times went by a symbol and had a fascination of what happens when you marry the colors red and blue together.
As far smooth running, powerful sounding, and easy transition to the higher speeds, this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette with a L48 underneath the hood is everything that you would expect. When we took this vehicle into our inventory everything worked perfectly, except for the interior dome light. Recently replacement work included: New Steering Gear-box, New Interior Door Panels on the Driver and Passenger Door, New Power Window Switches in the Center Console, and New Door/Latch Assemblies in the Driver and Passenger Door.
In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
