Gateway Classic Cars Saint Louis Showroom is proud to offer this striking 1936 Ford Pickup that has been restored on top of a 1978 Malibu frame.
Ford did not start using the slogan, 'Built Ford Tough' until 1978, but you can't tell by looking at the body on this 1936 Pickup Truck. Ford began its truck program back in 1908 with the Ford Model TT evolving into some of the most recognizable and beloved trucks the auto community has seen. While the 1930s were a decade of financial strain due to The Great Depression, Ford experienced remarkable success with their durable and cost-efficent trucks outselling Chevrolet in 1935 by nearly 300,000 units! This 1936 Ford Pickup is one such example that survived through the years and has been restored beautifully.
This 1936 Ford Pickup Truck has been in the same family for nearly two decades and comes with new Brakes, Battery, Body Cover, and a Tool Box installed into bed. Speaking of the bed, a plywood has been professional installed into the floor of it, and is covered with a clear sheet of plastic to protect it. The body has been painted black and exudes a nice shine with the exclusion of any scratches or dents. Powering this restored classic is a 305 CID V8 with an automatic TH 350 transmission. Built on the frame and powertrain of a 1978 Chevrolet Malibu, allows it to have that classic look, but a smooth ride. Here is a truck that can win your a few shows and be used for work.
