We are exicted to offer for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars Saint Louis Showroom this Pro-Touring, autocross ready 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe.
Providing the power to this 66' Mustang is a 2004 Roush Cobra Terminator 4.6L V8 engine with a Kenne Bell 2.1L twin screw supercharger. The current big pulley setup provides 8 lbs of boost and produces 550 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. Other notable items on the engine build include: Kenne Bell/Accufab monoblade 90mm throttle body, 60-lb/hr fuel injectors with twin Ford Cobra fuel pumps, Lethal Performance fuel rails, custom gated race oil pan, Powermaster 280 amp alternator, and an Innovation Engineering harmonic balancer. A Be Cool dual flow radiator with dual 12" electric fans keep this beast of an engine cool on race day. BBK long tube headers flow to the 3" stainless exhaust and Magnaflow mufflers to provide an awesome jaw-rattling sound. A beefed up Tremec T56 Magnum 6 speed manual transmission transfers the muscle to the Terminator cambered Ford 9" rear end with Moser 28 double spine axles and Ford Traction-Lok differential with 3.55 gears in a Moser Aluminum housing. A Baer disc brake setup with 14" rotors and six piston calipers adorn all four corners, with stainless steel braided lines front to back. The suspension features IWON custom street performance both front and rear with a host of other goodies including sway bars, coil overs in the rear, and PAC racing springs. The Vintage Wheel Works V45 staggered wheels (18X9 in front and 18X12 in rear) are wrapped in BF Goodrich Rival radial tires. The massive 335 rear tires look menacing, as they should. Sparco racing seats with Sparco 5 point seat belts are in the front with a stock vinyl bench seat in the rear.
The interior also features a 4 point bolt in roll cage, the trunk is mini-tubbed, and a JME gauge panel with AutoMeter gauges adorn the dash to create the perfect race ready appearance. A professional body restoration with all new sheet metal has been fitted to perfection. The Dupont Red Rock metallic/iridescent paint looks fantastic, especially sparkling in the sunlight. The odometer reads 2,037, which represents the mileage put on the car since the build was complete. Options for this 1966 Ford Mustang coupe include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio (disconnected), Electric Assisted Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Cloth and Vinyl Interior, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, and Performance Radial Tires. This is an absolute animal of a Mustang, and would be a blast to drive on the track or on the street. It will impress all that come across it, no expense was spared in this truly amazing build. This Mustang has been on many TV shows, on the cover of Magazines, and of course has numerous car show wins under its belt.
