For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a very unique 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. This 71' Corvette features a custom tilt forward front end and fender flares, combining for a very wild and sporty appearance. The pop up headlights have been replaced with a LeMans race inspired front end with quad headlights protected in a clear plastic casing. The rear fenders have been flared to match the front, which creates a wider profile compared to the original body. The old paint was stripped to bare fiberglass and epoxy primed, then it was painted the bright yellow you see now in a base coat/clear coat application. Powering this race inspired Corvette is a 350 CID V8 that features a new cam, hydraulic lifters, roller rocker arms, an electric fuel pump, electric ignition, and an Edelbrock intake manifold, valve covers, and carburetor. An aluminum radiator helps keep this 350 V8 cool on hot days, while the headers provide an excellent sound to the classic roadster. A 4 speed manual transmission transfers the power the pavement, and provides pure bliss shifting through the gears driving the Corvette as it was intended to be. The black vinyl interior is in good condition, free from rips and tears. The steering wheel and radio are aftermarket products, while the rest of the interior appears to be original style. The odometer reads 96,932, but the actual mileage is unknown.
