A 904 Torqueflight automatic transmission transfers the power to the pavement. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt, and have approximately 3,000 miles on them. Up front, stacked headlights provide a confident first impression to this Plymouth C body hardtop, while a red stripe inside the chrome trim runs the length of the car and accents the red vinyl interior perfectly. The red interior is in good condition, free from any major signs of aging and wear. The no nonsense dash is simple and to the point, all the gauges are read easily, and the buttons are big and operated with little effort. The Fury was produced by Plymouth from 1955 to 1989. It began as a sub-series to the Belvedere, and became its own model in 1959. From there it bounced around a bit in classification, initially a full-size car, then a mid-size, back to a full size car, and back and forth a few more times during its production run. The 1965 Fury had 4 trim options, Fury I was the base model, Fury II and III featured more trim and options, while the Sport Fury was the top of the food chain in the Fury world. The available powerplants ranged from a 225 CID Slant 6 to a 426 CID Wedge and Hemi. This Fury III is powered by a 318 CID V8 engine, which is plenty of power for this little hardtop. The odometer reads 44,311, but the actual mileage is unknown.
