Vinyl InteriorGateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautifully restored 1966 Ford Mustang coupe. This one has been completely stripped down and beautifully finished. Black is a tough color to paint, because it shows every imperfection. Luckily this one is super straight and the black has been nicely laid. White stripes really make a sharp exterior appearance. All new chrome all around helps complete the look. The restoration work was completed within the past 6 months and it has only traveled about 100 miles since. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt and this baby is road ready. It's a C code which indicates a 200 horsepower 289 CID V8. This one has been kept pretty stock, but it does have a set of Ford Racing valve covers and air cleaner. The engine compartment is nicely finished and could proudly be displayed at a show. Backing the 289 is a C4 transmission which shifts nicely and delivers the power to the rear wheels. Hop inside and you'll find white and black Pony interior which is all new. The black and white scheme has a really classy look which you don't find too often. First generation Mustangs are some of the most desirable classics, and also some of the easiest to own. Parts are available both for replacement and for upgrading. This example is beautifully equipped as is, but could certainly be upgraded along the way if someone desired.
