Referred to as the "C5", this fifth generation Corvette was a huge step up from the previous generation. The C5 introduced the legendary LS1 V8. This all aluminum V8 has become the choice for engine transplants whether into hot rods, race cars, or imports; everyone wants an LS. In this form, the LS1 makes 350 HP and makes this Corvette and absolute blast. This car has supercar performance with Chevrolet reliability. This particular example is finished in a rare color combination: white exterior over red leather interior. C5s were available with a 6 speed manual or a 4 speed automatic. Either option moved the transmission to the rear of the car for better weight distribution. This one has the automatic as well as the optional heads up display. Standard equipment includes: leather seats, AM/FM/CD, removable targa top, power windows and locks, keyless entry, cruise control, and of course, flip up headlights.
