This is a very special Callaway commemorating their 25th year in business. Callaway has been tuning and tweaking Corvettes since 1987. A lot of the earlier Callaway Corvettes featured twin turbos and Speedster convertibles with low windscreens. One of the more well known Callaway Corvettes was known as the Sledgehammer. This wild machine was reaching speeds north of 250 mph!
Today we are looking at their very special limited edition and numbered vehicles that were built off of a Grand Sport Corvette. Callaway received 25 Grand Sports from Chevrolet. They were all painted Cyber Gray Metallic with Ebony custom leather interior with Red stitching. This example is #15 and has 1,615 miles. Powering bad boy is a supercharged LS3 pumping out 620 horsepower and 555 lbs/ft of torque! Not too shabby. This along with rear tires measuring 335/25R20 will send the car down the 1/4 mile in 10.9 seconds at 129 mph! The Callaway treatment consist of: TVS2300 Roots-Style Supercharger, Air/Liquid intergraded intercooler, high flow fuel system, high flow intake, stainless steel exhaust, Carbon Fiber Aero package, specially made Bilstein shock absorbers, short throw shifter, carbon fiber hood bulge and Callaway Forged wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. The Callaway package was a $53,965 add to the $73,655 Grand Sport convertible. This car is an instant collector car and ready to shred some tires.
