If the new owner isn't a fan, they can easily be removed from the exterior glass, and the windows would remain tinted from the inside. The interior complements the exterior and was done in plush cranberry upholstery with gray hue carpeting and headliner. The VDO gauges will keep you well informed. Dakota Digital was used for the gear shift sender. Additional braking power was addressed with power brakes, with discs in the front, and drums in the rear. Finishing off the classic car are Chrome Steel Wheels with Chrome Moon Hub Caps wrapped in all new radial tires. In the last year, over $16,000 has been invested into this unique four door sedan. Recent work includes; new steering column, engine seals, transmission seals, rebuilt rear end with new gears, 49 led turn signal lights, coolant fluid reservoir tank, installation of new air conditioning and heater, and a new rear suspension with Bilstein shocks. History: At Chrysler headquarters they were about to introduce a new Plymouth, the PA & PB series, featuring the Floating Power (which meant the first USA built car with shock-absorbing rubber motor mounts). Plymouth engineers took the PB sedan to nearby Bald Mountain MI, and pushed the car over a cliff. The car came crashing down, overturning several times on its downward descent, but landing on its wheels. At the end of the 19th crash test, all doors were operable, outside of dented fenders, and a few body dents, the car was still intact and operable. The story is that Walter Chrysler was on hand to watch the first PA & PB roll off the Detroit assembly line. Watching the third car come off the line, Chrysler jumped behind the wheel and drove over to Dearborn to visit Henry Ford and his son Edsel. Chrysler let the two men look over the car, and then presented them with the keys. Mr. Chrysler asked a rising young sculptor Avard T. Fairbanks, if he could symbolize “Floating Power” in a radiator cap ornament? Fairbanks designed a little mermaid (of Norse mythology) coming up out of a swirling wave...then gave her the wings of an eagle. The mermaid was a hit!
