Manufactured by AM General and marketed by GM the H2 is a civilian version of the more extreme H1 military vehicle. The frame is based on heavy duty GM truck frames which has been beefed up for the hefty 8,600 lb weight of the H2. 2008 saw a remodel of the H2 which includes a more potent 6.2 Liter V8 which now puts out 393 horsepower. Power is delivered through a 6 speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. This particular H2 is loaded to the hilt. This one has the Luxury package which included chrome appearance package, upgraded audio, 3rd row seating, and rear seat entertainment system. To add to the flash, this one has the limited edition Ultra Marine paint color which has a bit of a chameleon effect with blue and green. This upgraded color also adds 20" chrome wheels. Other options include navigation and Air Suspension system with on board air compressor. The interior of the H2 was completely redesigned in 2008 and now closer resembles an Escalade than a Heavy Duty truck like the previous interior. Leather everywhere and power everything makes for a very comfortable interior. A commanding view of the road, and plenty of power under your right foot makes for an exhilarating driving experience. If you want a vehicle that can go anywhere, and look great doing it, this H2 is the one. With only 38,322 miles on the odometer, this beast is hardly broken in.
