Vinyl InteriorFor sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1967 Ford Mustang. This Mustang was restored in 2007 and fully tuned up in 2015. It has an actual 129,504 miles. This Mustang is painted in the original color of Lime Gold and is complimented with Ivy Gold vinyl interior. Powering the Mustang is a 289 cubic inch V8 with a four barrel carburetor and is backed by an automatic transmission.
1967 was the first redesign for the Mustang and if you're not a car person, you may not notice the subtle changes. A lot of the changes were directed towards increasing the overall size of the car while still retaining the looks of the very successful first generation. The larger car allowed for larger engines. This would be the first year a big block would be installed into a pony car. This would be the transition for a pony car to a muscle car. The base Mustang was equipped with a straight six cylinder and the bad boy would be the 390 cubic inch V8 producing 320 horsepower. The following year got even better with an available 428 cubic inch big block. The '67 that we have listed for sale is equipped with the 225 horsepower 289 that is certainly no slouch.
