Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very unique 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. This is one of only 499 factory hard top convertibles made. With a numbered certification from Ford, this is #92/499. Finished in black, the convertible has a full lift off hard top painted to match which can convert it into a hard top for the less glamorous weather. Of course it has a power rag top as well in matching black. This 1995 model got the last of the infamous 5.0 Liter 302 V8. This particular car however, has been beefed up quite a bit to push a dyno proven 272 horsepower at the rear wheels and over 300 ft lbs of torque. It has forged pistons, forged steel connecting rods, and a double roller timing chain. It has a nodular Iron crankshaft with 3" stroke. It features a hydraulic roller camshaft, roller rocker arms, and GT-40 SVO "Turbo Swirl" heads. This one has the performance parts book thrown at it with: upgraded MAF and throttle body, 24 lb injectors, Jet-Coated cobra headers, flowmaster off-road H-Pipe, Flowmaster 2" chamber mufflers, Diablo sport chip, MSD Blaster ignition, 9.0 mm plug wires, under-drive pulleys, B&M Pro-Ripper shifter, King Cobra clutch, and much much more. The engine is backed by a proper 5 speed manual transmission and an 8.8 Ford rear end with 3.73 final drive ratio. The nicely maintained black body sits on a sharp set of CCW wheels wrapped in low profile rubber. It has disc brakes in all four corners with drilled brake rotors. The interior is clean saddle leather in very nice shape. It has a power driver's seat and power windows and locks. This Cobra sports it original Mach 460 sound system which AM/FM/CD/Cassette. This car has 73,530 original miles and has tons of life left. It comes with a clean CarFax report, certification from Ford as a hardtop convertible, and certification from SVT as a Cobra. This car could easily be taken straight to a car show, or would make a very cool daily driver.
