The numbers matching 350 CID L82 V8 engine was a $495.00 option, a wise choice, as the L82 late 70's Corvettes are much more sought after than the lesser L48 V8 Corvettes. Other popular factory add-ons on this Corvette include the Gymkhana suspension and the convenience group package. The Gymkhana suspension (FE-7) option included a stiffer front sway bar and stiffer springs in the front paired with a 9 leaf (which GM referred to as an 8 leaf because the top leaf was so small) in the rear and allowed for a higher level of performance. The convenience group package includes: a dome light delay, low fuel light, head light warning buzzer, underhood light, interior courtesy lights, and a passenger side visor mirror.
