Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very sharp 1973 Ford Mustang SportsRoof. 1973 marks what some might call the last muscle car Mustang. 1974 marked the introduction of the "Mustang II" which was initially released without a V8 engine option. This '73 however, has a massive 351 Cleveland V8. This is a "Q Code" car which means it has a 4 barrel carburetor and puts out 265 HP; the highest available in '73. This one has been warmed over a bit with an Edelbrock Torker 351 intake, Holley carburetor, Crane Cam, and a Pete Jackson gear driven timing assembly. The engine also breaths through a brand new exhaust with Ceramic Coated headers and dual exhaust all the way back. This bad boy sounds like a muscle car should. The engine has been rebuilt and driven about 10,000 miles since. Other additions include an aluminum radiator with dual fans and new brakes. The car is finished in an awesome black on black color combo. Although this one is not a Mach 1, it has the silver Mach 1 striping. This fastback looks great sitting on 17" American Racing wheels resembling the old Magnum 500 style wheels. To complete the retro look, louvers cover the rear glass. The interior is black with silver accents on the seat upholstery which matches the exterior. The dash is in great shape with full instrumentation and a custom steering wheel. The center console houses the 4 speed manual shifter as well as the factory analogue clock. Options include: AM/FM/CD/Cassette, power steering, tilt column, seat belts, vinyl interior, and alloy wheels with radial tires. This classic Mustang would be at home at your next car cruise, or in any enthusiast's garage.
