For sale in our St. Louis showroom is custom 1942 Plymouth P14, also known as a Business Coupe. Due to WWII Plymouth's production was low, which makes this war time model hard to find. Options for this 1942 Plymouth Coupe include: Vintage Air Supercooler Air Conditioning/Heat/Defrost Unit, Blaupaunkt AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Cruise Control, Lumbar/Bolster Support, Power Seats, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, 3 PT Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and Weld Racing Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This Plymouth has an estimated 16,000 miles since the restoration was complete. This Plymouth has met and passed the NSRA 23pt safety inspection. Powering this Coupe is a completely rebuilt 350 CID Chevrolet V8 that produces 300 horsepower and features ported heads, small cam, Edlebrock intake and carburetor, aluminum valve covers, and an aluminum air cleaner. Open the engine bay and the polished and chrome parts jump out at you, including a polished A/C compressor, chrome alternator, Billet brackets, and a polished aluminum Smith radiator. A 350 automatic transmission has been enlisted to transfer the horsepower to the completely rebuilt 10 bolt Chevrolet rear end that has 2:73 gears for easy highway travel. An R & P power steering unit has been installed to help ease the everyday drivability of the Plymouth Coupe, and gas shocks have added in the front and the rear to make for a comfortable ride in this 1942 model. The complete frame and suspension was sandblasted and primed with PPG epoxy primer. The beautiful Bright Sapphire Metallic paint was carefully applied with many steps being taken before the color was even added, it was completed with a PPG Basecoat/Clearcoat system. The ashtray has been converted to a control center, you can pop the trunk with the push of a button, or operate the electric Cowl vent with a push of a button as well.
