Produced between 1977 and 1979 the Lincoln Mark V is a personal luxury coupe that was sold by the Lincoln-Mercury division. The Mark V shared the same chassis as its predecessor the Mark IV, it was the largest version in the Mark series in size and also was the largest/best selling of the Mark series as well, averaging 75,000 units sold in each year available. All Mark V models were standard with 4 wheel disc brakes and Ford's Sure-Trac Anti-Lock Brakes, and were the last Mark series to feature a Ford large-block V8 engine. Specifically in 1979 the vinyl roof was mandatory and could not be deleted via a special order, and a cassette player was an available radio option.
