When it comes to first generation Mustangs, there are coupe, convertibles, and fastbacks. The coupes are very common, the fastbacks have become nearly unattainable in price for most, so the convertibles are becoming more and more desirable. This particular '66 Convertible is set up right. It's a C-code which means it came with a 200 horsepower 289 CID V8. In this case, the car still sports that original 289 which was rebuilt in 2002 and has only seen about 3,000 miles since. Another extremely desirable option is the 4 speed manual transmission. The 4 speed transforms the car from a cruiser to a sporty driver's car. What better color for a classic Mustang convertible than red? This one has a white convertible top which works well and looks great especially with the white rocker stripes. Inside, the interior mimics the color scheme with red and white vinyl upholstery. It's a '66 so you get the sportier round face gauges which are in wonderful shape in this car. Of course the 4 speed is shifted on the floor, and the gear shifter falls readily to hand. This car is optioned with just enough goodies: AM/FM/Cassette, power convertible top, seat belts, vinyl interior, and rally wheels wrapped in white wall tires. This is a nicely set up classic Mustang that very well may be a good investment piece.
