The 442 moniker represented 4-barrel V-8, 4-speed transmission, and dual exhaust, and also 400 CID, 4-barrel, dual exhaust. The 442 was initially offered on Oldsmobile's F85 and Cutlass trim's, in 1968 the 442 became its own model. Available in 2-door sports coupe, holiday hardtop coupe, and convertible.
