For sale in our St .Louis showroom is a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda. This isn't your typical Barracuda though. This one's painted in Viper Yellow and powered by a 331 Chrysler Fire Power Hemi that's been bored to 354 cubic inches. Feeding the air and fuel is a pair of Carter four barrel carburetors on top of an aluminum high rise intake manifold. What a sight, a Hemi with dual quads! The rest of the engine bay consist of an aluminum Be Cool radiator, electric cooling fans, braided lines and hoses, MSD 6AL ignition, MSD Blaster SS coil, tubular headers and a fuel pressure gauge. Adding to the look of the engine bay is that beautiful shade of yellow paint that is as smooth as the rest of the car. Inside is a new black vinyl interior including bucket seats, carpeting, auxiliary gauges and a tachometer with shift light. Between the bucket seats is a B&M Mega shifter that's mated to a 727 Torque Flight automatic transmission with a 2800 rpm stall. The transmission is hooked up to a Dana 60 (Strange) rear end with 3.73 gears and posi-traction. Helping lay down the power is a pair of Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires that measure 28x10.50-15. Up front are Uniroyal 215/65-15s. The tire sizes combined with the aluminum Weld Racing wheels really give this Barracuda a look that lets you know it means business. The chassis consist of rear leaf springs and a Reilly Motorsports AlterKtion front end kit with upper and lower tubular control arms, adjustable coil over shocks and rack and pinion steering. Stopping this mean little Mopar is done with a pair of front disc brakes and rear drums. This is a two year old build with less than a thousand miles since its completion. Both the engine and transmission are fresh built with the rest of the car and have zero track time. The rest of the build includes a fuel cell in the trunk along with a trunk mounted battery, fuel shut off switch, remote battery post with battery cut off, re-chromed bumpers and a fiberglass hood and scoop.
