Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. In 1969 the Mach 1 package replaced the GT package as the performance oriented trim package. Styling touches included a black hood, racing style hood pins, chrome wheels, and a non-functional hood scoop. Mach 1s could be ordered with a 351, 390, or even a 428 CID V8. This Mach 1 features the 351 which has been optioned with a 4 barrel carburetor which can be easily recognized by the chrome quad exhaust tips. In '69 the 351 was produced in the Windsor Ford plant and have become known as 351 Windsors or 351W. In this case the M-code Windsor is rated at 290 horsepower. The standard Mach 1 transmission would have been a 3 speed manual, but this car has been optioned with the more highway friendly 4 speed manual. The car was fully restored about 12 years ago including rebuilding the original engine, and completely repainting the vehicle. By looking closely at the paint, you'd never guess it is a 12 year old paintjob. The finish is smooth and glossy like new. Being a Mach 1 the car has the deluxe interior group which features wood grain dash, high back bucket seats, and rim blow steering wheel. Sportsroof Mustangs are possibly the most collectible car ever and are certainly easily recognizable. This is a great opportunity to own a nicely restored Mach 1 in a brilliant color combination.
