T-TopsFor sale is a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. In 1978, the 25th anniversary of the Corvette, a car similar to this one paced the Indianapolis 500. Chevrolet made one replica car for each of its dealerships across the country to display in their showrooms. This means that there was only about 6,500 pace car replicas produced. All pace car replicas are finished in two-tone black over silver with a red pinstripe and special Indy 500 decals. The car has an L-48 350 CID V8 backed by a turbo 350 automatic transmission. The Vette came well equipped from the factory with A/C, AM/FM radio, removable glass T-tops, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, tilt/telescopic wheel, seat belts, anti-theft system, leather interior, radial tires with raised white letters, and alloy wheels. This particular example has only 28,000 original miles. The car has never been restored but still looks great with all the original decaling and paint.
