1967 Ford Mustang GTA for sale! In its stock form, this C-code 67 Mustang GTA would be an amazing car, but with $117,000 invested in building it, this vehicle is nothing close to stock! The original 390 CID V8 was removed an in its place is a 427 Genesis side oiler block that has been stroked to 484 CID and topped with aluminum Edelbrock Performer heads that have been ported and run 10.5 to 1 compression. The engine also contains a Crane solid roller cam and roller rockers, an 870 cfm Holley carburetor, and custom Tri-Y headers leading to 3 inch exhaust tubing. At a dyno confirmed 571 ft/lbs of torque and 474 horsepower, the rest of the drivetrain needed to be upgraded as well. The transmission is a built up AOD 4 speed automatic transmission with an 1,800 rpm stall converter that is rated for 800 horsepower. This feeds a custom 5 inch diameter driveshaft that is run to a Ford 9 inch rear end with 4.10 gears and a heavy duty locker. The suspension wasn't overlooked in this Mustang either - the rear is a four link suspension with fully adjustable coilovers, and the front consists of coil springs and adjustable shocks. Welded in frame connectors, a cross braced front end, and power disc brakes with four piston calipers on all four corners help keep this GTA rigid and give it plenty of stopping power. This Mustang had plenty of effort spent on the exterior and interior as well - it has been finished in high quality Silver Frost paint with a black vinyl top, just like it had when it left the factory, and has had all of the exterior chrome either replaced or rechromed during the build. The interior has been restored mostly to original with the exception of the Recaro driver and passenger bucket seats, Nardi steering wheel, and custom dash with Auto Meter gauges including a 200 mph speedometer and a 10,000 rpm tachometer. It even has Vintage Air to keep you cool during the hot cruising season! Other options include AM/FM radio, power steering, power brakes, power door locks, power windows, and 5 spoke Boss alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires.
