Vinyl Interior1978 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car for sale! This is a beautiful, actual pace car that has been owned by the current owner since 2000 and at that time underwent an extensive body off restoration! The original 350 CID L48 V8 engine block is still under the hood, and was completely stripped down and rebuilt, including new heads, carburetor, intake manifold, and cam. The original automatic transmission is still there as well and has been taken apart and had new gaskets and seals installed. The body was then removed from the frame and the frame and A-arms were completely sand blasted and powder coated. The suspension was also upgraded with all new bushings and a new rear leaf spring. This Corvette was then reassembled including a new GM front bumper, new starter, new fuel pump, new radiator and radiator bracket, new water pump, new timing chain and gears, new distributor, rebuilt trailing arms, sway bar, new oil pump, and new body mounts. The body was found to have no evidence of any repairs, and was filled, block sanded, and painted in black over silver Pace Car colors. A new professionally installed Pace Car decal set, new interior, and refinished correct wheels finished this amazing restoration. All of this hard work results in a beautiful Corvette that is ready to drive and show!
