The Aurora was a car designed exclusively for Oldsmobile meaning there was no sharing to the other General motors subsidiaries which was so common at that time. This example is finished in White Diamond paint with a Tan Leather interior. The 4 liter aluminum 32 valve motor was used in Indy Cars and caught the attention of Carrol Shelby who purchased many of these engines to modify and install in his Series 1 Roadsters. The engine in this car was procured from the Carrol Shelby Co., and used to replace the original motor. The Transmission is a four speed automatic with 2 driving modes normal and sport. Aurora is a personal luxury car designed to be direct competition to the European luxury sedans of that time. The car has all the creature comforts you would expect. Numerous upgrades have been performed on this car recently to get the car ready for many more years of service. Such as new A/C compressor, the front struts are new ,as well as the rear shocks.
